The Pheromind Collective doesn't fight your ships. It fights your decisions. Through a network of psionic broadcast organisms and chemical signal warfare, the Collective disrupts enemy plans, steals cards, and turns an opponent's strengths into liabilities.
A Pheromind player is a saboteur. Their cards interfere with the opponent's market, corrupt their drafts, and force suboptimal plays. Victory comes not from building the best deck, but from ensuring the enemy never gets to build theirs.
The Pheromind Collective evolved from the Sovereignty's communication caste -- the organisms responsible for transmitting chemical signals between distant hive clusters. Over millennia, their signaling capabilities became weaponized. What began as coordination became coercion.
Today the Collective operates as the Sovereignty's intelligence arm, embedding psionic operatives behind enemy lines, broadcasting confusion signals that scramble targeting systems, and projecting fear-states that break enemy morale before a shot is fired. Their enemies often surrender to thoughts that aren't their own.
